I did the gangway and when done went to bed. I forgot my money so decided it wasn’t worth it to go back to the boat and then back to land… just a waste of time. Plus I was tired and wanted to get some good shut eye. “There’s no sleeping on cruises” Quoting David Piano Guy.

April 30

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Gangway at 6:45am. I went downstairs to the gangway and luckily I ran into one of the security guys who told me it was upstairs today. I got up there and waited on my fellow photog, but he never showed up so I went out and started without him. After a bit he came down with our sign and it turns out he did the same thing I did. Gotta love when people change stuff up on you.

I got to go ashore today. No tenders. I went to their Super Store… which isn’t very Super. They didn’t have office supplies or anything you would find at lets say a walmart. So I got the necessary items, life laundry detergent and hand soap. Now I can do some laundry, yea. Went back to the ship to drop off the supplies and woke up the roomie to see if she wanted to go out. We ended up going to the big fort and looking around. Very cute guys dressed up and all. Got some pics for viewing too. And a video!

Saw this and so wished I could check it out.

Sea Day- Scenic Cruising

Got to sleep in a little today since it is a sea day. Work at 10am, not bad. Mostly in the gallery trying to get people to buy photos and such, but this cruise is a little difficult. People don’t want to buy photos, but on the flip side, we are getting a lot of people to take photos at the ports. We have 8 ports this cruise and 1 overnight in Quebec.

Slow night tonight, we even set up for a casual white night. Where we set up I can hear the Neptunes (ocean bar band) and the Solo Guitarist. Most of the people that know me, know I don’t sit still very well.. let alone stand in one spot easily. So I am here hanging out and trying to get people to photograph all the time swaying to the beat of the music. I did get some funny looks, but what can I do… I have to occupy my time somehow. Thankfully, we have one-hour slots that we rotate instead of standing there for 3 hours.

I was planning on going straight to bed because I would have to get up early to do gangway. When I told this to one of the officers when he asked if I wasgoing downstairs, he shook his head and said that he’ll see me down there. So full of themselves..lol Well it turns out my manager decided to give my a break and have me work at5pm tomorrow, so I guess I would make an appearance. I am glad I did because it was busy and I got to meet a few more people, engineers, entertainers, more officers, in additiontohanging out with the photog team.
